ASUS Final Battle of the Year

ASUS Final Battle of the Year 2012 will start off on Thursday with 12 teams who will give their best for the $15,000 prize and the title of one of the last Counter-Strike 1.6 tournaments.

Although NaVi and ESC Gaming had to drop out, the likes of Virtus.pro, KerchNET and the Eduard 'ED1K' Ivanov's mixteam Place2Play.ru promise an interesting tournament.

The twelve teams have been divided into two groups with six teams to be played out over Thursday and Fiday. The winners will be advanced to the semi-finals and the second and third place finishers to the quarter-finals.

And here are the two groups:

Group A: KerchNET, Place2Play.ru, zNation, prestij, espada, es4x

Group B: Vritus.pro, Selectah!, pastit, Doockers, Independent, OverPro ELTZ

The quarter-finals and semi-finals will take place on Saturday at CyberSports Arena in Kiev, while Sunday is reserved for the grand final and the third place of the event.

The winners will take $6,000 home, while 2nd place will take $4,000, 3rd $2,500, 4th $2,000 and the 5th and 6th $750.
